Want to visit the world’s largest biogas plant for R&D purposes?

8. oktober 2020

The production of biogas in Denmark is rapidly increasing. In 2020, more than 20% of the gas in the natural gas grid was biomethane produced from manure, food and industrial wastes. That number is expected reach 30% by 2023 more than 30%. Research and development partnerships between academia and industry have played a vital role in achieving this green transition

Watch the video below to get a tour around the plant at Aarhus University’s site in Foulum in Denmark, where Senior Researcher Henrik B. Møller and his team do research and development activities within pretreatment of biomasses, process optimization, power-2-gas and use of digestate takes place on lab- and full scale.

If you want to know more about R&D projects in Denmark and how you can cooperate with Danish stakeholders, feel free to reach out to Michael Støckler from Food & Bio Cluster Denmark (mcs@foodbiocluster.dk).

The video is created within the framework of Biogas Go Global in October 2020.
